saturday, august 6th, 2011 Back again this year is the very popular event, The Big Dig! Sponsored by Dale & Harriet Jones, this is the event families and children line up for! This event offers three age categories for kids ages 3-14 and offers a prize for every child that participates. New this year - a new process for The Big Dig registration. 2011 Walker Bay Days Big Dig registration will begin at 11:00am. There is no registration prior to 11:00am, August 6th. Upon arrival to Walker Bay Days please bring your children to the registration booth and they will draw a number between 1-290 per age group, for The Big Dig as well as a hand stamp. That will be their line position for The Big Dig. If a number is lost they will have to draw a new number. We look forward to seeing lots of smiling faces again to enjoy The Big Dig for its 5th year at Walker Bay Days! In its second year, the Adult Big Dig! FInd a token in the sand for grab bag prize. Prizes range from t-shirts, gift certificates and vacation stays. Hosted by Lakes Area Dive Team. There is a $5 entry fee and open to ages 15 on up. Register at the Information Booth, must be present to register. There will be a limit of 75 prizes for 15-20 year olds and 75 prizes for the over 21 group. When you register you will receive a wristband that identifies that you are in the Adult Big Dig.
