READ 2013 RECAP!

The Leech Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the Walker Bay Days event to be held in Walker City Park on August 2nd. The mission of this event is: A celebration of our family values, community pride and commitment to the preservation of the Leech Lake area, our bountiful natural resources and cultural history!

Saturday will be a full day of activities beginning with a 5K Run at 9:00 am and ending with the Raffle drawing at 4:00. Walker Bay days will offer something for every age- for children - there will be games, inflatables and the highlight of the day will be the Big Dig held in the afternoon. Again this year thousands of dollars worth of toys will be given away during the Big Dig, thanks to the generosity of Dale and Harriet Jones.

Throughout the day there will be a Volleyball Tournament, Bingo, Pow-Wow Exhibition, and Fleet Sails will be giving Sailboat Rides on Leech Lake. Food and beverages will be served all day. We also have our 2nd Annual Craft Fair!

Mark your calendar for August 2nd and be sure to join the fun at Walker Bay Days. Entrance into Walker Bay Days is FREE! There will be participation fees for many of the activities. We invite everyone to attend this family focused festival, sponsored by the Leech Lake Area Chamber of Commerce, celebrating all that Walker has to offer!
